MEDICAL BILLS- Paying for Pain

      I'm proud to be an American, I love my country, I said the Pledge of Allegiance in school but I must say our health care system SUCKS! Medicare is almost impossible to get when you need it. I was dying of kidney failure, looking at 2 total hip replacements, and dealing with chemotherapy but according to the government I " Wasn't disabled enough ". Yet in California all you have to do is claim to be anorexic and you get instant benefits. Ridiculous. Anyways.

      Medical bills are the worst, and they pile up and pile up and unless you're rich and you get behind there's no way to get rid of them. At 23 I have hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of medical bills piled up. At one point in time I had SSI and had insurance, but they canceled it on me. They pulled a fast one and canceled my health care without my knowledge, but started sending me a disability check. Then one day I found out I wasn't covered anymore.

I was so mad because the only reason I bothered with fighting with the government for a full year ( lawyer and everything ) was so I would have health insurance since I couldn't work. Well, they do anything they can to get out of paying for a high maintenance person like myself.  It sucks and its unfair. Credit ? What the hell is that ? Haha. I have such bad credit right now due to my medical bills, and I could start paying them, but at this point they are so high I don't see that I could make much of a difference. So honestly I think after talking to some people I think the only thing for me to do is when I'm better " remission " to declare bankruptcy and deal with the fallout from that and one day have hope of rebuilding my credit. But at this point there's just tooo much.
