ISAGENIX- Finally something that works!

Ok so my kidneys quit, I got sick, spent 3 months in bed. and gained a lot of weight. Between the accumulated water, that took forever to get rid of ,and the inactivity, yeah I put on some pounds. There wasn't a whole lot I could do about it either. I thought that once I was able to walk again it would go away, but. it decided to stick around.

And when I say stick around I mean right around the middle. Haha. Anyways, I went to my doctor and he pretty much told me that I shouldn't worry about losing weight because until I'm all better it's probably not gonna happen, and if it does well great. I'm not the type of person who takes no for an answer very easily,  ( just ask my parents ), so I went to doc with diet plan after diet plan with everything from Metabolife to Slim Fast.

Now because of my allergy to NutraSweet ( aspartame and phenylalanine ) that ruled out a lot of things anyways. You'd be amazed ,but diet drinks etc., have that crap in them, so I couldn't do those. The others were ruled out due to stimulants ,which due to high blood pressure, and weak kidneys , my body can't handle. So I heard no after no after no after no. I was pretty discouraged.

Now I've had both my hips replaced and so that limits what exercise I can do. So I tried at one point in time walking myself to death. It didn't work, sit-ups didn't work nothing worked ! Man was I discouraged. Then my friend told me about this thing his mom was doing and how successful it was for her. She had sent him a bunch of stuff and he was telling me all about it. Needless to say I was interested, but then there was the problem of Dr. No. I asked my friend "well does it have any of this or this or this" and he kept telling me no. No stimulants, no NutraSweet, no Fen-Fen, nothing bad.

All natural stuff, stuff you need but you don't get much of anyways. I was actually starting to get excited. He told me he was gonna start it and tell me how it was working for him. I told him I'd have to talk to the doc, and if I was gonna start anything it would have to be after my chemo treatment ,which was coming up.

So I emailed my doctor the Isagenix website, and a little email about what my friend had told me. I asked him ,that if it was Ok with him,  I'd like to give it a try. My doctor took a few days, he reviewed the website and everything then we talked on the phone. He said after doing some research he didn't see a reason why I couldn't do this. I was so happy, finally something I can do ! He was however, skeptical that I would lose any weight from it. But due to its lack of bad things, and things my body can't tolerate I was good to go. So after recovery from my chemo treatment, I started taking Isagenix.

Now the first two days I think are the hardest. You don't eat, it's a liquid diet. They provide you with everything you need to do this ( except water, which is in abundance on the earth ). The first two days you drink this berry juice with water, take these capsules, and they also have snacks ( chocolate or vanilla ) to help you with any cravings. Great !

So I started the diet, the first two days, the cleansing days, were toughest for me only the first time I did it. Mainly because you think you should be eating. It's such a habit for us to eat, you know three squares a day, that when we stray from that in our minds we think "Oh man I haven't eaten today."  Then you make yourself think you're hungry.

And I can tell you between the juice and the water and the snacks ,if you need them, you're not hungry ! Its just getting past the mental thing. Then after the first two days you move to shake days. Yes you heard me shakes, yummy yummy chocolate ( or French vanilla ) shakes. I do recommend a blender though. But you get to have 2 shakes and then a 300 - 600 calories meal.

You could do breakfast shake, food lunch, and a dinner shake, or whatever you need, to fit your schedule. It's so convenient! And I remember the first shake day I was thinking, "300 -600 calories for a meal that doesn't seem like its gonna be very much" but hey was I wrong. There is a ton of stuff that you can get from the store that's way under 600 calories and is a good amount of food.

Because of my work schedule I would take like a frozen dinner or something to work anyways, so I just started getting the like Healthy Choice ones or whatever. Way low calories, all kinds of different stuff, and not bad tasting. I will admit some are out and out naaaasty. But generally they are good. Or if I'm home I'll cook something healthy. It's really great. So I've been on this diet for 3 weeks, today is Nov.21 2003 and since I've started Isagenix I've lost 18 lbs and I feel great! I mean seriously.

I don't feel like I'm starving myself, and I've got more energy, and I'm looking good too. I can see it, other people can see it, I tell you what, you never get tired of someone telling you how good you're looking !

I can't thank my friend's mom enough for introducing both of us to this. I really hope you'll take a minute to check out the website and see this stuff for yourself. Give it a try, if it works, think of all you've gained, and if you don't think it works well, you've lost nothing and though you may not realize it you've gained some good stuff.

I plan to keep with Isagenix forever ! No joke, once I get to my " ideal weight " they've got other plans and systems to help you maintain your weight and stay healthy. I'm very excited to see what effect this has had on my kidneys. I will be doing a test very soon that will determine if I'm doing better or not. I'm positive it'll be great results. And if the results are good that'll mean less chemo for me and eventually NONE! That'll be a great day.

It's been a lot of great days since I started this.
