INSOMNIA- ZZZZZ's Please!
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Many medications and things keep you awake. It is so difficult to sleep , say when you're taking prednisone. I used to truly enjoy sleeping, now the only time I sleep over 4-5 hours per night is when I have chemo or when I'm sick.
I've taken several different kinds of sleeping pills. I started with your average everyday over the counter brands. I tried Nytol, didn't work, I tried Unisom and that worked in large doses, then I tried Sleepinol which worked and I'd only have to take double the dose.
About this time I started to worry about how much stuff I was taking and still not sleeping. My doctor then put my on Ambien, which worked the first couple nights then peetered off to inefficiancy. Then he put me on something else, I don't remember what it was called, but I turned out to be allergic to it. After a trip to the E.R. we decided that wasn't a good idea.
Then he prescribed to me Flurazepam. That actually works quite well, I started off at 15mg, a couple weeks later had to increase the dose to 30mg and that's where I've stayed. I wake up in the morning feeling like I was run over by a bus in my sleep. Nightmares almost nightly, and just general icky feeling. It takes a long time for the grogginess to go away. I actually despise taking them. But I go for days without sleep when I don't. It got to the point once where my friend would check up on me and make sure I was taking them. That's pretty bad.
I do have good news however. I don't know how this is related, but ever since I started taking Isagenix I've started sleeping better. Not necessarily longer but I feel more rested and the day goes better. It's really good for me because even though I don't sleep for like 8 hours I feel like I've gotten plenty of sleep. And I've stopped taking my sleeping pills without staying up for days and days. And I have a ton of energy during the day. It's great, I don't know if this would work for everyone but maybe Isagenix could help you if you can't sleep.

*did you know Ambien is in a class of drugs that are mild hypnotics? If you are taking this you might want to do some research.
